MORE ABOUT THIS ITEM

The Magnahelic guage is the industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, pressure drop across orifice plates, liquid levels with bubbler systems, and pressures in fluid amplifier or fluidic systems. The gauge's motion is damped with high-viscosity silicone fluid. The zero adjustment screw is conveniently located in the plastic cover, and is accessible without removing the cover. O-ring seal provides pressure tightness. Rugged design resists shock, vibration, and overpressure.

The helix is precision-made from an alloy of high magnetic permeability. Mounted in jeweled bearings, it turns freely, following the maganetic field to move the pointer across the scale. The samarium cobalt magnet is mounted at one end of the range spring and rotates the helix without mechanical linkages.

Precision Pressure Monitoring

The Magnehelic Series 2000 provides high-resolution analog measurements with easy-to-read scale increments, ensuring precise monitoring in various industrial environments. Its 4-inch housing and clear markings enable quick interpretation, supporting operator efficiency and system safety.

Durable and Reliable Construction

Constructed with a die-cast aluminum case and an acrylic cover, the Magnehelic gauge is designed for industrial grade use. Overpressure protection is ensured via a rear blowout plug, and the silicone rubber seal reinforces its resilience, making it suitable for harsh operating conditions.

Versatile Applications and Easy Mounting

Engineered for versatility, this gauge can measure the pressure of steam, oil, and gas in diverse setups. It can be surface or flush mounted, and comes complete with all necessary adapters and mounting hardware for hassle-free installation.

FAQ's of Dwyer USA Magnehelic Gauges 0 To 60 Inch WC:

Q: How do I install the Dwyer Magnehelic Series 2000 gauge?

A: The Magnehelic gauge should be mounted in a vertical position, either surface or flush-mounted using the included adapters and screws. Connect the high and low pressure taps using the 1/8" NPT female connections, and ensure all seals are secure before operation.

Q: What are the main benefits of using this Magnehelic gauge in industrial settings?

A: This gauge offers reliable, accurate differential pressure measurements (2% full scale) with robust build quality and simple readability. It's ideal for monitoring steam, oil, and gas processes, improving operational safety and efficiency.

Q: When should overpressure protection be checked or replaced?

A: Check the overpressure protection (blowout plug at the rear) during regular maintenance or after any significant overpressure events. Replace or reset the plug as recommended by Dwyer if it shows any damage or has been activated.

Q: Where can I use the Magnehelic Series 2000 gauge?

A: It is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications including steam, oil, and gas systems. The die-cast aluminum case and powder coating make it fit for use in factories, plants, or harsh environments.

Q: What process does the gauge use for pressure measurement?

A: This gauge utilizes a diaphragm-actuated sensor to physically measure and display pressure differences, providing mechanical (non-electrical) analog readings in inches of water column.

Q: How can I maintain optimal accuracy of my Magnehelic gauge?

A: Ensure the gauge remains in a vertical orientation, is kept within its specified temperature and pressure limits, and is checked for any signs of leakage or wear on seals during routine maintenance.
