MORE ABOUT THIS ITEM
The Magnahelic guage is the industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, pressure drop across orifice plates, liquid levels with bubbler systems, and pressures in fluid amplifier or fluidic systems. The gauge's motion is damped with high-viscosity silicone fluid. The zero adjustment screw is conveniently located in the plastic cover, and is accessible without removing the cover. O-ring seal provides pressure tightness. Rugged design resists shock, vibration, and overpressure.
The helix is precision-made from an alloy of high magnetic permeability. Mounted in jeweled bearings, it turns freely, following the maganetic field to move the pointer across the scale. The samarium cobalt magnet is mounted at one end of the range spring and rotates the helix without mechanical linkages.

FAQ's of Dwyer USA Magnehelic Gauges 0 To 15 MM WC:
Q: How do I install the Dwyer 2000-15 MM WC Magnehelic Gauge?
A: Installation is simple: use the included mounting screws for surface, flush, or panel mounts. Connect pipes or tubing to the 1/8 NPT side or back ports using the supplied adapters. For accurate readings, install the gauge vertically.
Q: What applications are best suited for this Magnehelic gauge model?
A: This gauge is particularly effective in HVAC systems, air filter monitoring, clean room pressure measurements, and general differential pressure measurement of clean, dry air or compatible gases. It is designed for industrial-grade reliability.
Q: When should I use the zero adjustment feature?
A: Use the external screw zero adjustment before regular operation or after transportation and installation, to ensure the pointer rests at zero with no pressure applied. This helps maintain measurement accuracy.
Q: Where should this gauge be positioned for best performance?
A: It should be vertically mounted in a stable environment with temperatures between -7C and 60C (20F to 140F), ensuring that only clean, dry air or compatible gases are measured for optimal sensor longevity.
Q: What is the process for calibrating this gauge?
A: Each device is precision calibrated at the factory. For recalibration, use a certified pressure source to apply known pressures and use the external zero and span adjustment if required, following the manufacturer's detailed guidelines.
Q: Can this gauge be used with liquids, steam, or oils?
A: No, the gauge is intended solely for clean, dry air and compatible gases. Measuring liquids, steam, or oils may damage the diaphragm sensor and void warranty.
Q: What are the main benefits of using this Magnehelic gauge?
A: Key benefits include reliable and precise pressure measurement, flexible mounting options, easy installation, robust construction, and international compliance (RoHS, CE), ensuring safe and consistent operation in critical applications.
