MORE ABOUT THIS ITEM

The Magnahelic guage is the industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, pressure drop across orifice plates, liquid levels with bubbler systems, and pressures in fluid amplifier or fluidic systems. The gauge's motion is damped with high-viscosity silicone fluid. The zero adjustment screw is conveniently located in the plastic cover, and is accessible without removing the cover. O-ring seal provides pressure tightness. Rugged design resists shock, vibration, and overpressure.

The helix is precision-made from an alloy of high magnetic permeability. Mounted in jeweled bearings, it turns freely, following the maganetic field to move the pointer across the scale. The samarium cobalt magnet is mounted at one end of the range spring and rotates the helix without mechanical linkages.

FAQ's of Dwyer USA Magnehelic Gauges 0 To 1.0 Inch WC:

Q: How do I install the Dwyer Magnehelic Gauge for accurate pressure readings?

A: To install, use the included mounting screws for surface or flush mounting. Connect high and low pressure taps using standard 1/8 NPT threads on the side or back, ensuring proper sealing. Follow the supplied instructions for optimal setup.

Q: What types of media can the Magnehelic Gauge measure pressure for?

A: This gauge is engineered to accurately measure low pressures in steam, oil, and gas systems, making it suitable for a variety of industrial process applications.

Q: When should I use the external zero adjustment screw?

A: You should use the external zero adjustment screw during setup or routine maintenance to recalibrate the gauge to its baseline, ensuring continued accuracy, especially after installation or significant environmental changes.

Q: Where is the best location for installing this gauge?

A: The Magnehelic Gauge can be mounted on any accessible panel, wall, or control surface close to the pressure source. Ensure the ambient temperature remains within -7C to 60C for optimal operation.

Q: What is the benefit of its IP50 enclosure protection?

A: The IP50 enclosure protects internal components from dust and limited direct contact, prolonging the gauge's service life in challenging industrial settings without compromising measurement integrity.

Q: How is the gauge's measurement accuracy and repeatability maintained?

A: The gauge features a precision-machined diaphragm sensor and finely graduated analog scale, offering 2% full-scale accuracy and 0.1% repeatability. Routine zero adjustment further supports ongoing accuracy.
