Lo-Limit and Hi-Limit Control, Aluminum Case
Capsu-Photohelic Switch/Gages function as versatile, highly repeatable pressure switches combined with a precise pressure gage employing the time-proven Magnehelic gage design. The Capsu-Photohelic switch/gage employs an encapsulated sensing element for use with both liquids and gases at pressures to 500 psig. Two phototransistor actuated, DPDT relays are included for low/high limit control. Easy to adjust set point indicators are controlled by knobs located on the gage face. Individual set point deadband is one pointer width - less than 1% of full scale. Set points can be interlocked to provide variable deadband - ideal for control of pumps, etc.

Precision Differential Pressure SensingThe Dwyer 43001 Capsu-Photohelic uses a capsule-type differential pressure sensor to deliver reliable, accurate measurements down to 0-1.0 inches of water column. Its analog display and switch indicator let users monitor real-time values and switching status at a glance, making it well-suited for demanding industrial processes.
Rugged & Versatile for Industrial ApplicationsFabricated with a sturdy die-cast aluminum case and sealed with neoprene diaphragms, the gage is designed to withstand harsh environments. The IP54 enclosure offers splash resistance, while the powder-coated, anodized bezel ensures longevity in a wide temperature span from 20F to 120F. Installation flexibility is provided by both surface and panel mounting options.
Easy Adjustment & Compliance AssuredFront-accessible dials streamline the process of setting or changing switch points with minimal tools, and the external zero adjustment makes recalibration straightforward. Each unit comes factory-calibrated, globally compliant with UL and CE standards, and includes mounting hardware for quick setup.
FAQs of Dwyer Series 43001 Capsu-Photohelic Pressure Switch Gage 0-1.0" w.c:
Q: How do I install the Dwyer Series 43001 Capsu-Photohelic Pressure Switch Gage?
A: Installation is simple and versatile; the gage can be surface or panel mounted using the supplied mounting hardware and instructions. The high and low pressure ports accept 1/8" NPT female fittings for easy integration with standard tubing.
Q: What electrical supply is needed for the switching function?
A: No dedicated power supply is required for the gages basic operation. The SPDT snap switches are designed to switch directly at line voltage (up to 10A at 120/240 VAC), handling most common industrial control systems without extra equipment.
Q: When should I use this pressure gage in my process?
A: This device is ideal for situations requiring precise monitoring and control of low differential pressures in air and compatible gasessuch as air handling units, filter status monitoring, or ventilation systemswhere accurate setpoint-based switching improves system efficiency or safety.
Q: Where can the device be mounted and is it suitable for outdoor use?
A: The gage features a powder-coated die-cast aluminum case and an IP54 rating, making it splash-resistant and suitable for most indoor industrial environments. However, it is not designed for full outdoor exposure or environments with heavy dust or direct water jets.
Q: How are the switching setpoints adjusted?
A: Setpoints can be easily changed via two front-accessible dials, allowing you to fine-tune the switch actuation points without dismantling the unit. This process is user-friendly and can be performed during regular maintenance checks.
Q: What are the primary benefits of the Capsu-Photohelics capsule-type sensor design?
A: The capsule-type sensor offers high sensitivity and stability in measuring very low pressure differences, resulting in 2% accuracy and 1% repeatability. This ensures reliable monitoring and control, reducing system downtime and maintenance costs.
