About Dwyer 3005MRS Photohelic,Switch/Gauge 0 to 5 in W.C

Dwyer 3005MRS Photohelic,Switch/Gauge 0 to 5 in W.C

Pressure switch/gage, range 0-5" w.c., .10 minor divisions.

Model: 3005MRS

Combine the functions of a precise, highly repeatable differential pressure switch with a large easy-to-read analog pressure gauge employing the durable, time-proven Magnehelic gauge design. Versatile electromechanical relays with gold over silver contacts - ideal for dry circuits.

Dwyer 3005MRS Photohelic, Switch/Gauge 0 to 5 in W.C.

Using solid state technology, there Series 3000MR and 3000MRS Photohelic switch/gauges combine the functions of a precise, highly repeatable differential pressure switch with a large easy-to-read analog pressure gage employing the durable, time-proven Magnehelic gage design. Switch setting is easy to adjust with large external knobs on the gage face. Gage reading is unaffected by switch operation - will indicate accurately even if power is interrupted. Solid state design now results in greatly reduced size and weight. Units can be flush mounted in 4-13/16" (122 mm) hole or surface mounted with hardware supplied. 3000MR models employ versatile electromechanical relays with gold over silver contacts - ideal for dry circuits. For applications requiring high cycle rates, choose 3000MRS models with SPST (N.O.) solid state relays. All models provide both low and high limit control and include 18-inch (45 cm) cable assemblies for electrical connections.

Gage accuracy is ±2% of full scale and switch repeatability is ±1%. Switch deadband is one pointer width - less than 1% of full scale. Compatible with air and other non-combustible, non-corrosive gases, they can be used in systems with pressures to 25 psig (1.725 bar).

Versatile Pressure Monitoring and Control

The Dwyer 3005MRS Photohelic offers simultaneous analog display and dual SPDT relay switching, making it ideal for applications requiring both monitoring and control. Whether installed in HVAC systems, filter status panels, or airflow and fan control setups, it delivers reliable and efficient performance.

Built for Industrial Demands

Engineered with a durable die-cast aluminum body and a polycarbonate cover, this switch/gauge withstands demanding environments. Its overpressure protection, high accuracy (2% of full scale), and broad temperature range ensure reliability in diverse settings, from industrial plants to commercial facilities.

User-Friendly Installation and Operation

Mounting is straightforward with flush or surface options and included brackets and screws. The clear analog display assists in easy pressure readings, while screw terminal block connections simplify the electrical hook-up. Its compact 4-inch diameter enhances versatility in panel design.

FAQ's of Dwyer 3005MRS Photohelic,Switch/Gauge 0 to 5 in W.C:

Q: How does the Dwyer 3005MRS Photohelic Switch/Gauge operate in HVAC and industrial settings?

A: The 3005MRS simultaneously measures differential pressure and triggers control functions via its dual SPDT relays. This makes it highly efficient for monitoring and controlling pressure in HVAC systems, filter status, air flow, and fan operation, ensuring optimal equipment performance and protection.

Q: What is the recommended mounting orientation for the 3005MRS, and why is it important?

A: The switch/gauge should be mounted vertically to maintain accuracy and reliable operation, as the internal sensing mechanism is calibrated for this orientation. Mounting brackets and screws are included to facilitate proper installation.

Q: When should I use the 3005MRS Photohelic for my application?

A: Use the 3005MRS when you require both precise pressure measurement and automatic switching capabilities, such as in HVAC control panels, filter performance monitoring, and process automation where system protection and efficiency are priorities.

Q: Where can the 3005MRS be installed within a system?

A: It is suitable for flush or surface mounting on control panels, walls, or equipment racks using the included hardware. Its compact size and screw terminal connections make it adaptable to various system configurations.

Q: What is the process for connecting electrical wiring to the 3005MRS?

A: Connect power and output lines to the screw terminal block according to the included instruction manual. The unit requires a 120 VAC, 60 Hz supply and provides SPDT relay outputs for switching up to 5A at 120/240 VAC.

Q: How does the dual SPDT switch functionality benefit users?

A: Dual SPDT relay switches allow you to set independent high and low-pressure set points, enabling the device to control multiple safety or operational functions, such as activating alarms or turning fans on/off, enhancing process flexibility and safety.
