he Series 3000MR Photohelic® Switch/Gage combine the functions of a precise, highly repeatable differential pressure switch with a large easy-to-read analog pressure gage employing the durable, time-proven Magnehelic® gage design. Switch setting is easy to adjust with large external knobs on the gage face. Gage reading is unaffected by switch operation - will indicate accurately even if power is interrupted. Solid state design now results in greatly reduced size and weight. Units can be flush mounted in 4-13/16" hole or surface mounted with hardware supplied. 3000MR models employ versatile electromechanical relays with gold over silver contacts - ideal for dry circuits.
Gage accuracy is ±2% of full scale and switch repeatability is ±1%. Switch deadband is one pointer width - less than 1% of full scale. Compatible with air and other non-combustible, non-corrosive gases, they can be used in systems with pressures to 25 psig.

Versatile Pressure MonitoringWith its differential pressure sensing capability, the Dwyer 3000MRS is well-suited for diverse environments, including HVAC systems, dust collection setups, and clean room applications. The units high accuracy across a 0 to 125 Pa range, combined with instantaneous mechanical response, ensures precise and timely monitoring of air pressure variations.
Enhanced Control and SafetyEquipped with two independently adjustable SPDT relay switches, the Photohelic Switch/Gauge acts as both a monitor and a control device. Its robust contact rating of 5A at 120/240 VAC (resistive) and 2A (inductive) supports direct integration with standard electrical systems, delivering automatic reactions to pressure variations for added operational safety.
Easy Setup and Durable ConstructionInstallation is simple with provided mounting hardware and screw terminal block connections. Constructed with a die-cast aluminum case and a polycarbonate lens, the device features a textured, molded exterior for longevity. Its NEMA 2 (IP53) rating provides reliable resistance against dust and moisture, meeting CE compliance for international use.
FAQs of Dwyer 3000MRS Photohelic Switch/Gauge 0 to 125 Pa:
Q: How do I install the Dwyer 3000MRS Photohelic Switch/Gauge for accurate pressure monitoring?
A: To ensure accurate readings, mount the gauge vertically on a panel or surface using the supplied hardware. Other orientations may lead to incorrect readings unless recalibrated. Wiring is completed via the screw terminal block, and all necessary installation components are included.
Q: What types of applications is this device best suited for?
A: The 3000MRS is ideal for HVAC systems, dust collection equipment, clean rooms, and filter monitoring where precise differential air or compatible gas pressure measurement is required.
Q: When should the adjustable set points for the SPDT relays be configured?
A: Set the adjustable SPDT relay set points during installation or routine maintenance to match specific system alarm thresholds or control requirements, ensuring optimal performance and early detection of unacceptable pressure levels.
Q: Where can the Dwyer 3000MRS be operated effectively?
A: This switch/gauge operates effectively in environments within -6.67 to 60C (20 to 140F), handling continuous pressures up to 25 kPa. Its NEMA 2 (IP53) enclosure means it is protected against limited dust and dripping water but is not fully waterproof.
Q: What materials are used in the construction of the Photohelic Switch/Gauge?
A: The unit features a die-cast aluminum case for durability, a polycarbonate lens and dial for clear visibility, a neoprene seal, and an anodized aluminum pointer, making it robust for industrial use.
Q: How does using this Photohelic Switch/Gauge benefit system operators?
A: Operators gain real-time pressure visualization, automated control with customizable alarm points, and enhanced protection of air-handling systems, reducing downtime and maintenance by promptly detecting filter clogs or airflow issues.
Q: What power supply is required for this device?
A: The standard power supply is 120 VAC at 50/60 Hz. Other voltages are available upon request, making it adaptable for various global installations.
