About Dwyer 2000-1000PA Magnehelic Differential Pressure Gauge
Dwyer 2000-1000PA Magnehelic Differential Pressure Gauge
Using Dwyer's simple, frictionless Magnehelic gage movement, it quickly indicates low air or non-corrosive gas pressures--either positive, negative (vacuum) or differential. The design resists shock, vibration and over-pressures. No manometer fluid to evaporate, freeze or cause toxic or leveling problems. It's inexpensive, too.
Order #: 2000-1000PA
Mfg Part #: 2000-1000PA
The Magnehelic gage is the industry standard to measure fan and blower pressures, filter resistance, air velocity, furnace draft, pressure drop across orifice plates, liquid levels with bubbler systems and pressures in fluid amplifier or fluidic systems. It also checks gas-air ratio controls and automatic valves, and monitors blood and respiratory pressures in medical care equipment.
Blowout plug is comprised of a rubber plug on the rear which functions as a relief valve by unseating and venting the gage interior when over pressure reaches approximately 25 psig (1.7 bar). To provide a free path for pressure relief, there are four spacer pads which maintain 0.023" clearance when gage is surface mounted. Do not obstruct the gap created by these pads. The blowout plug is not used on models above 180" of water pressure, medium or high pressure models, or on gages which require an elastomer other than silicone for the diaphragm. The blowout plug should not be used as a system overpressure control. High supply pressures may still cause the gage to fail due to over pressurization, resulting in property damage or serious injury. Good engineering practices should be utilized to prevent your system from exceeding the ratings or any component. O-ring seal for cover assures pressure integrity of case. Samarium Cobalt magnet mounted at one end of range spring rotates helix without mechanical linkages.

FAQs of Dwyer 2000-1000PA Magnehelic Differential Pressure Gauge:
Q: How do I install the Dwyer 2000-1000PA Magnehelic Differential Pressure Gauge?
A: Installation is straightforward using the included mounting bracket and screws. The gauge can be mounted vertically either flush or on the surface and connects via 1/8" NPT female high and low pressure taps. Thread adapters and plugs are also provided for flexibility in setup.
Q: What is the ideal application for this pressure gauge?
A: This gauge is designed primarily for HVAC systems, filter status checks, duct static pressure monitoring, clean room environments, air velocity assessments, and monitoring the performance of fans and blowers in industrial settings.
Q: When should I use the zero adjustment feature on the gauge?
A: The external zero adjustment screw should be used when the gauge indicates a non-zero reading at no pressure difference, typically during initial setup or periodic maintenance, to ensure measurement accuracy.
Q: Where can the Dwyer 2000-1000PA be installed safely?
A: The gauge is suitable for indoor locations with temperatures between -7C and 60C. It has an IP54 rating, so it offers protection against dust and splashing water but should not be submerged or installed outdoors without additional enclosure.
Q: What process gases are compatible with this pressure gauge?
A: This model measures air and other non-corrosive, compatible gases. It should not be used with liquids or aggressive chemicals that may damage the internal components or seals.
Q: How does the immediate response time benefit industrial processes?
A: With its immediate and continuous response, the gauge provides real-time pressure information, which supports prompt process adjustments, effective monitoring, and quick diagnosis of system issues, reducing downtime.
Q: What accessories are provided with the Magnehelic gauge for installation?
A: Each unit includes two 1/8" NPT plugs, two 1/8" NPT to 3/16" I.D. rubber tubing adapters, a mounting bracket, and mounting screws, ensuring straightforward and secure installation in diverse applications.
