About Mini Photohelic Differential Pressure Switch
Mini Photohelic Differential Pressure Switch
differential pressure switch/gage combines the time proven Minihelic II differential pressure gage with two SPDT switching set points. The Mini-Photohelic switch/gage is designed to measure and control positive, negative, or differential pressures consisting of non-combustible and non-corrosive gases. Gage reading is independent of switch operation. Switching status is visible by LED indicators located on the front and rear of the gage. Set points are adjusted with push buttons on back of unit. This extremely compact switch/gage is ideal for fume hoods, dust collection, pneumatic conveying and clean room applications.

FAQs of Mini Photohelic Differential Pressure Switch:
Q: How does the Mini Photohelic Differential Pressure Switch operate without a power supply?
A: This switch functions mechanically, using a differential pressure sensor and SPDT micro switch. It does not rely on external power. Differential air or gas pressure moves the mechanical components, triggering the switch and analog display accordingly.
Q: What environments are suitable for installing this device?
A: Designed with an IP54 rating and an ambient temperature range from -20C to +60C, the switch is suitable for most industrial environments where protection against dust and minor splashes is important, such as laboratories or manufacturing facilities.
Q: When should I use the adjustable set point feature?
A: The adjustable set point allows you to select the specific differential pressure at which the switch operates. Use this feature during setup or system tuning to optimize control, ensuring the switch triggers only at your chosen pressure threshold.
Q: Where does the Mini Photohelic Differential Pressure Switch measure pressure from?
A: The device uses 1/8 NPT female connections for both low and high pressure inputs. It measures the difference between these two points, so proper installation is essential for correct operation in your air or non-corrosive gas system.
Q: What is the process for mounting this differential pressure switch?
A: The unit supports both flush and panel mounting. Use the provided mounting hardware and instruction manual to secure the device in position, ensuring a snug fit and correct orientation for clear analog display reading.
Q: How does this switch benefit my application?
A: The Mini Photohelic Switch provides rapid, accurate differential pressure monitoring and control, safeguarding equipment and maintaining process stability. Its robust build, CE compliance, and low maintenance needs translate into enhanced operational reliability and efficiency.
