FAQs of Winters Digital Pressure Gauge DPG204:

Q: How is the Winters DPG204 powered, and how long does the battery typically last?

A: The DPG204 is powered by a 3V lithium battery (CR2450), which is included with the unit. Thanks to its energy-efficient design and automatic backlight, the battery offers long operational lifemost users can expect several months of continuous use before replacement is necessary.

Q: What is the process for switching between different units of measurement on the DPG204?

A: The gauge allows you to select from psi, bar, kPa, and MPa. Switching units is straightforward: use the unit selection button before or during measurement, and the display will update instantly, providing flexibility for the desired measurement system.

Q: When should I use the zero/tare function on this digital pressure gauge?

A: The zero/tare function is particularly useful for eliminating any offset or background pressure before taking a reading. Use it when attaching the gauge to a new process or whenever you need to ensure the measurement starts from a true zero, ensuring optimal accuracy.

Q: Where can the Winters DPG204 be installed, and what mounting type does it support?

A: The DPG204 features a 1/4 NPT male bottom connection and a 70 mm diameter case. It can be installed on panels, manifolds, or directly onto process lines compatible with the mounting thread, making it suitable for diverse industrial settings.

Q: What benefits does the IP65 ingress protection offer for the DPG204 gauge?

A: With an IP65 rating, the digital gauge is protected from dust and low-pressure water jets, greatly enhancing durability in harsh, outdoor, or damp environments. This ensures reliable performance and longer service life under industrial conditions.

Q: How accurate are the readings from the DPG204, and what is its overload limit?

A: The DPG204 provides high-precision readings with an accuracy of 0.5% of full scale. Additionally, it can withstand momentary pressures up to 150% of its rated range without sustaining damage, contributing to operational safety and reliability in demanding applications.
