he Series 3000MR Photohelic® Switch/Gage combine the functions of a precise, highly repeatable differential pressure switch with a large easy-to-read analog pressure gage employing the durable, time-proven Magnehelic® gage design. Switch setting is easy to adjust with large external knobs on the gage face. Gage reading is unaffected by switch operation - will indicate accurately even if power is interrupted. Solid state design now results in greatly reduced size and weight. Units can be flush mounted in 4-13/16" hole or surface mounted with hardware supplied. 3000MR models employ versatile electromechanical relays with gold over silver contacts - ideal for dry circuits.
Gage accuracy is ±2% of full scale and switch repeatability is ±1%. Switch deadband is one pointer width - less than 1% of full scale. Compatible with air and other non-combustible, non-corrosive gases, they can be used in systems with pressures to 25 psig.

Versatile Differential Pressure MonitoringThe Dwyer 3000MRS Photohelic Switch/Gauge delivers precise air pressure monitoring across a 0 to 500 Pa range. Suitable for clean rooms, HVAC systems, duct, fan, and filter applications, it combines pressure indication with control switching, making it ideal for various process protection needs. Its clear analog display with adjustable set points streamlines system checks and adjustments for increased operational safety.
Industrial-Grade ConstructionEngineered for reliability, the gauge features a molded, die-cast aluminum housing and a clear, 4-inch acrylic window. Rated IP54 at the front, it resists dust and splashes, suiting tough industrial settings. The device weighs just 680 g, is panel or surface mountable, and comes with robust mounting hardware for straightforward installation.
Advanced Switching and Fast ResponseEquipped with a double-pole double-throw (DPDT) Photohelic switch, this gauge offers set point control without requiring external power for gauge operation. The switch delivers fast response (<1 ms), enabling near-instant reaction to critical pressure changes, thus protecting your processes and optimizing system performance.
FAQs of Dwyer 3000MRS Photohelic Switch/Gauge 0 to 500 Pa:
Q: How is the set point adjusted on the Dwyer 3000MRS Photohelic Switch/Gauge?
A: The set point on the Dwyer 3000MRS is adjusted externally using dedicated knobs located on the front panel. This allows for precise control without disassembling the gauge, making it convenient for quick system tuning during installation or routine maintenance.
Q: What applications is the Dwyer 3000MRS suited for?
A: This switch/gauge is engineered for industrial-grade applications such as fan, filter, and duct pressure monitoring, clean room pressure control, and general process protection. It is ideal for measuring and controlling air and compatible gases in demanding environments.
Q: When should I use the DPDT switch feature?
A: The double-pole double-throw (DPDT) switch is used when you need to control two independent circuits or devices based on preset pressure levels. This function is valuable for process automation, alarm triggering, or activating additional equipment when certain pressure thresholds are reached.
Q: Where should the 3000MRS be installed for optimal performance?
A: For accurate pressure readings and ease of set point adjustment, mount the device on a stable panel or suitable surface in a location that is representative of the area requiring pressure monitoring. Ensure the gauge is protected from excessive vibration and is installed with the provided mounting hardware.
Q: What is the process for wiring the electrical switch?
A: The switch section operates on 120/240 VAC and is connected using two detachable electrical connectors included with the product. Follow the supplied operating instructions for proper wiring and safety. No external power is needed for the gauge portion, simplifying installation.
Q: What benefits does the Photohelic feature provide?
A: The Photohelic feature merges visual analog pressure indication with electrical switching, enabling both manual monitoring and automatic system response. Its fast switch response aids in protecting systems from pressure fluctuations, while the clear display and external set point make adjustments simple.
