About Cellulose Cooling Pad
Cellulose Cooling Pad
Apart form manufacturing the fans for various applications, D.P.ENGINEERS make the Cellulose Pad,made by these Thailand and Italy various companies in India and are well established with respect to Poultry, Horticulture (Green House) and Industrial applications. The Evaporative Cooling Pad (ECP), made of cellulose paper is engineered from cross-sectional, specially treated flute media capable of absorbing and retaining water to provide the maximum cooling efficiencies. The cellulose media is treated with stiffening and wetting agents to provide the cooling without any water carryover. The pads are designed for tropical and subtropical countries, ensures greatest performance during summer seasons.Mixed Esters of Cellulose (MCE) or Cellulose Acetate (CA) is best for microbiology and environment monitoring test. Contrasting grid lines facilitate counting colonies on the filter surface and are tested to assure freedom from grid line inhibition. The Membrane Solutions MCE membranes are also tested for freedom from grid line inhibition and optimal color reactions on appropriate test media.
Features
- The Cellulose Pad is cross corrugated coated with anti rot, rigidify wetting resins.
- The 150 VAPUR Pad are made for maximum efficiency, at minimum pressure drop.
- The pad media is treated with anti-rot and rigidify resins.
- The media is cross-corrugated to maximize the mixing of air and water.
- Saturation efficiency ranging from 50 to 98% can be achieved depending upon air velocity and depth of the cooling pad.
- Air flows horizontally, while the re-circulating water flows vertically, through the pad.
- The water is collected at bottom of the pad and is re-circulated, again by a pump through the unique gutter system made of G. I. Sheet.

Advanced Honeycomb Structure for Maximum CoolingHarnessing the honeycomb architecture, these cellulose pads provide superior surface area for air and water contact, resulting in highly efficient evaporative cooling. This design ensures optimal humidity and temperature regulation in demanding environments such as greenhouses and industrial spaces.
Flexible Sizing and CustomizationAvailable in standard sizes like 600mm x 300mm x 150mm and customizable dimensions, these pads seamlessly fit into various evaporative cooling systems. Whether for agricultural or industrial installations, their modular nature supports easy integration and replacement.
Durable Construction and Optional Edge ProtectionManufactured with robust, water-absorbent paper, the pads offer a lifespan of 3-5 years when maintained under ideal conditions. Optional aluminium, galvanized, or plastic framing adds extra edge protection, extending the life of the product and ensuring reliability.
FAQ's of Cellulose Cooling Pad:
Q: How do you install a cellulose cooling pad in an evaporative cooling system?
A: Installation is straightforward due to the modular design. Simply slot the pads into the designated frames-aluminium, galvanized, or plastic-depending on your system, and connect to a suitable water flow source. No specialized tools are required.
Q: What benefits does the honeycomb structure provide in these evaporative cooling pads?
A: The honeycomb structure maximizes the contact area for water and air, resulting in efficient evaporation and consistent cooling. This optimizes temperature and humidity control for environments like greenhouses and poultry farms.
Q: When should I consider replacing the cooling pad?
A: Replace the pad every 3-5 years, or sooner if you notice decreased cooling efficiency, mineral build-up, or physical deterioration. Prompt replacement ensures your system maintains optimal performance.
Q: Where can these cellulose cooling pads be used effectively?
A: These pads are ideal for use in evaporative air cooling systems across greenhouses, poultry farms, industrial cooling installations, and any application where efficient temperature regulation is crucial.
Q: What is the recommended water flow rate for these pads?
A: A water flow rate of 4-6 liters per minute per square meter is recommended to achieve optimal evaporation rates and cooling performance without oversaturating the pad.
Q: Are flame retardant options available for these cooling pads?
A: Yes, flame retardant variants are available upon request, enhancing safety in environments where fire risk must be minimized.
Q: What makes these pads noise-free during operation?
A: The pads are designed to operate silently, with no moving parts within the pad itself. Noise levels depend on the external equipment used, but the pad contributes to a quiet cooling process.
